Adult Capoeira

Our adult program has students with a wide range of skill levels. Some have been training for over 20 years while others are only a year or two into the art.  Our classes ensure that each skill level is challenged with interesting and fun training that helps them better engage with the art of Capoeira.

During your first two years of training you will learn the foundational movement, music and cultural understanding you need to play Capoeira.  After these foundational years, the training becomes more rigorous as you begin a more intensive journey into the art of Capoeira and advance through the Capoeira belt (cordão) ranking system.  Classes, workshops and events help you gain deeper understanding of the different aspects of the art (music, history, acrobatics, language, game types and strategies) and how they interplay in a Capoeira Roda. Our Adult Capoeira classes are divided into 4 levels: Beginner 1, Beginner 2, Intermediate, and Advanced.
